Why I Built a Free Base Size Finder for Warhammer 40,000
Share
Here's the thing nobody tells you about running a Warhammer accessories shop: the question you get most often isn't about quality, shipping, or pricing.
It's this:
"What base size does my model take?"
At first, I thought it was simple. It's on the box, right?
Turns out, no. Not even close.
Warhammer 40,000 has 11 editions. Forge World resin. Legends units. Codex updates that quietly change base sizes. You buy a secondhand blister from three editions ago, the base size on the box is ancient history.
1,200+ models, 30+ base sizes. Good luck.
So I built something.
I call it the Base Size Finder.
Type a model name, it tells you the base. Pick a size, see every model that uses it. Search, filter, sort. Two directions, zero friction.
1,226 models indexed · 31 sizes · 5 shapes. Every faction covered: Space Marines, Necrons, Tyranids, Aeldari, Tau, Chaos, Knights, Astra Militarum — all there.
Every size links directly to a product page. No second search.
The reason I built it is simple: I needed it myself.
Every time someone asked about base sizes, I would dig through rulebooks and forums. Took forever. So I gathered the data, cleaned it up, and built the tool.
"You find the size faster. I sell you the base faster. Win-win."

And if you need the bases themselves — 25mm rounds for infantry, 40mm rounds for characters, oval bases for cavalry — we ship from China, worldwide.
